Seattle-based musician Timothy Robert Graham follows up his 2021 EP Could Be Better with a new satirical project titled Could Be Worse. The EP features three tracks that explore different emotional terrains, from the pandemic-induced urge to escape in "Get Me Out Of Here" to the simple joys of friendship in "Till There Was You," which features Ash Negal of TV Star. Rounding out the EP is Graham's heartfelt cover of "These Days," a 1967 single previously covered by artists like Nico and Jackson Browne, and known for its inclusion in Wes Anderson's "The Royal Tenenbaums."

The new EP was recorded in both Graham's home and a secluded warehouse studio in Seattle's industrial district, SODO. The lead single, "Get Me Out Of Here," serves as a universal anthem for those feeling confined, and came from Graham's own experiences with mild panic attacks and finding solace through physical activities like running. Graham notes that the song is an encouragement for people to venture outdoors and create healthy coping mechanisms, stating, "Being healthy is fucking awesome. You can use that extra energy to create stuff or play and feel like a kid again."

With Could Be Worse, Timothy Robert Graham synthesizes his years-long journey through highs and lows into a unified message: focus on the silver linings and foster gratitude. He captures the resilient spirit of a post-pandemic world, offering a much-needed counterpoint to his previous work and signaling an optimistic turn for both the artist and the larger music community.
