New York rapper Sha Hef is back with a new Cole Eckerle directed visual for “Penitentiary Chances,” and this track is sure to show you exactly why Sha Hef is one of the most intriguing acts not only out of NYC but also from a dense underground scene that is predicated on a combination of lyrically dense and grimy vocals and classical sample-driven beats. This track is centered around a head-knocking beat that is accented by a sweet vocal sample that juxtaposes the gruff delivery utilized by Hef. I love everything about this video and am very excited to continue to watch Sha Hef grow as an artist.
