Mac Miller drops off an incredibly smooth at-home jam session for a new track, titled Inertia, ahead of his highly anticipated album Swimming, set to drop on August 3rd. The video, filmed in his home studio in New York, Mac is accompanied by frequent collaborator Thundercat to play bass while Mac delivers tongue twisting, poetic bars in his comfort zone.
The video gives viewers a look into Mac’s music man-cave full of various keyboards and other equipment while he one-takes the verse to his latest track, feeling every bit like an impromptu freestyle but with miles more polish. Mac Miller has been on an amazing run musically, with Swimming being arguably his most anticipated release to date. The Sam Balaban-assisted footage provides plenty of B-roll and a DIY-feel to the video to really plant the viewers in the room with Larry Fisherman.
Check out the video for the smooth jam session below, and be on the lookout for Swimming and the accompanying tour starting in late October.
