As California’s new wave of rap is taking off, the state has been seeing an incredible amount of artists break out in a short amount of time. While a majority of the momentum has come out of L.A., Lil Mexiko is putting his Northern California hometown of Stockton on the map.

With only a handful of releases to date on his SoundCloud page, his December release titled “Stick Talk” is a great introduction that we know will be the first of many. As the spotlight that is currently on Southern California’s scene, we’re excited to see Lil Mexiko become a superstar up north.
