Here is a music video you won’t want to miss. Tyronne Buddy-Lee Hill, a rapper from South East London, known to most by his stage name, Kid Bookie makes a strong first appearance on our pages today, premiering his debut video for “Shake Up” on our very own YouTube channel. The single “Shake Up” was a previous audio release on Bookie’s 6-track EP, Shake Up which features favorite singles like “Shake Up” and “Drowning”.

The 26-year-old has been creating music ever since he was young, inevitably building a strong audience over time with his hard-hitting lyricism. With 2 EP’s and 2 Mixtapes under his belt now, the rapper has made a name for himself in and outside the UK. In an interview with BBC 1Xtra’s Sian Anderson, he acknowledged the influence of Rock in his music, saying, “Before anything, I grew up on Rock music. I grew up on Slipknot…”.

On another note, many times the rapper addressed more serious and controversial topics in his music such as rape, suicide, drug abuse, politics, and the polluted state of the music industry. On the Lewis Cullen produced track, “Shake Up”, Kid Bookie sends a message to other rappers, holding no bars back on his deliveries.

The rapper also does a fantastic job at conveying his distinct lyricism through music videos. He is able to amplify his unapologetic truths with animations that trigger entertainment, enlightenment, and humor. The video for “Shake Up” is no different. Directed by Bookie and James Sims, check it out below.
