First Beige is one of my favorite indie bands on the come up currently, and their new track “Desire” is a musical masterpiece and is a true sonic cornucopia of sorts. The track has an unabashed funk element with a rousing bass line and up-tempo percussion to match, but a flashing synth pattern or flute harmony will pass through every now and again, just to fuck with things and elevate their sound to previously uncharted waters. These guys are unbelievably talented and “Desire” is very much unlike what I have ever heard before.
