London rapper Finn Foxell is one of the most interesting artists in the UK and he wasn’t featured in our Current State of London list, as his stature is fairly large at least in an underground sense, but he is an indispensible fixture in their incredibly unique rap scene. His new EP Good Tea is a series of vignettes of Foxell’s personal life, ranging from relationships with family, social issues, romance, mental-health, and being broke, making this project a nice microcosm for the feelings of all of Britain’s youth. The production across these four tracks is solid and much of it is very much drum and bass inspired towards the back end. I really enjoyed Good Tea and am excited for Foxell’s next full-length effort.
