You can't talk about the new wave of south Florida without mentioning Eugenics. Recently just turning 24 this month he felt it was only right the listeners get new banger from him. Eugenics has been silently making moves in the music industry just shy of 4 years now. A lot of his early work was engineering and producing for big clients such as EA Sports and engineering for platinum recording artist Tory Lanez on his mixtape New Toronto 2. Heavily influenced by mainstream underground artists such as Immortal Technique, Eugenics really shows us how far his range of sound goes and also delivers a hard-hitting message that goes along perfectly with the current social climate with the whole BLM movement still happening.
“Still Alive” is from the perspective of all of us regular civilians that are watching the world spin faster and faster out of control due to corrupt politicians and elites that currently run the system. The cover art perfectly matches the song, showing a cartoon version of Eugenics smoking a blunt on a broken-down car watching the world in flames with billboards with images of women and money with captions that say things like “Kill The Elite” and “Free Us”. Although the song has a dark sound and vibe pointing out the flaws in the current society, the song has an undertone of a revolution, that displays a “V for Vendetta.” Still alive is free on SoundCloud & available on all major platforms, give the song a listen and let us know if you feel amped up to go out and make a change!
