Don0rphan and MUGEN! The Human have been running together in the same corner of Chicago's indie hip-hop seen for years now. With their penchant for moody, lo-fi production aesthetics and self-deprecating lyricism, their appeal reaches far past the bounds of hip-hop into the independent music community at-large.

Their new single, "12 Am," sees both artists at their best. Over a nocturnal, jazzy beat courtesy of Elevated, Don hits us with a particularly cutting verse about fighting his inner demons, while Mugen brings some smooth wordplay, facetious sarcasam and as usual, a dose of life advice.

If "12 Am" shows anything it's that these two artists are better together than they are apart. Tune in below.
