Atlanta’s mesmerizing artist to watch, Bktherula, unveils her resolute new single “Admit It” via Warner Records. The 18-year-old rapper, singer, and songwriter showcases her effortless flows over a futuristic beat, propelled by 808 drums and synthetic instrumentals.

Bktherula shares the inspiration behind “Admit It,” stating, “Some of y'all be lying. I'm not about to lie and say I don't miss this girl if I do just to look cool.” The new song arrives on the heels of her hypnotic single “Summer,” further setting the stage for her debut project, which is slated for release in October.

Check out "Admit It" below.

Walk me through your childhood, what was it like growing up? How did you gravitate towards music?

I lived a f*cking amazing childhood despite the rough patches. I’ve always been into music. Although my mom and dad have a history of singing and rapping, I believe I’m so in love with music because of my past life.

Who were some of your influences then and now? Are there any artists in particular who you would say paved the way for your career?

My biggest influence is life itself.

When people listen to your music, what's one thing you want them to take away from it?

Love.

With women taking over hip-hop, are there any fellow female artists that you'd want to collaborate with?

Any female artist that has good energy, I’m down to work with, man.

What's the inspiration behind your latest single "Admit It"?

I was missing what me and this one girl used to do… She’s f*cking crazy though.
