Bringing a beach-ready pop sheen to contemporary Hip-Hop, SoCal melody master Yung Pinch is ready to convert his cult following into mainstream recognition. Sharing a new slice of ear candy, Pinch has released “Sail Away,” his latest video single. Floating over a bubbly instrumental complete with arpeggiating guitar and trap percussion courtesy of producers Charlie Handsome and Wheezy, Pinch invites the object of his affections to join him in his whirlwind rise through the music industry.
In the video, directed by Lone Wolf, Pinch carries a bouquet of roses to the beach, driving in an animated paper cut-out of his convertible and sailing in his newspaper boat. Premiered by HYPEBEAST, “Sail Away” is an intimate and creative portrait of the young artist, and a potent peek into his world view. Earlier in 2018, Pinch shared the honeyed “Smoke & Drive,” which samples Weezer and features appearances from fellow Cali hitmakers blackbear and P-Lo,
“This song means so much to me. There’s so much emotion and real life in it that’s so relatable right now. I knew I had to do a visual for it and I knew it had to translate that same feeling the song gives, so I hit this kid Lonewolf that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I came up with a couple ideas then we linked up and shot it and he ended up turning it into a masterpiece. Perfect vibe to lead into the release of #4EVERHEARTBROKE 3 on Valentine’s Day,” Pinch told HYPEBEAST.
