Detroit artists are quickly becoming some of my favorite rappers in the world. Thank Sada Baby and FMB DZ for opening up the floodgates for a city with a vast multitude of ravenous lyricists, all eager to prove that they’re the next thing out of Michigan. YTB Kaine is one of the latest of this ilk, and quite possibly one of the best. His new song “Vent” is a beckon for the examination of mental health, explaining how his life circumstances have made him who he is today. He talks about the rise to fame and what comes before and after it. The beat’s smooth and what really sells it are the pained raps of Kaine that bring you into his world and hold you hostage. You’ll be addicted to this one.

Listen to “Vent” below.
