It’s always extremely unfortunate, but sometimes an artist’s best work comes from the darkest places that life has taken them. In the case of Young Lord Churchill his debut single “I’m A Star” came from a place that many would not want to go.

Struggling with depression for a period of time that lead to a suicide attempt and multiple stays in psychiatric wards, Young Lord Churchill has been fighting demons. Mental health is never anything to joke about and his debut Charlie Shuffler produced single gives an honest insight into the mind of someone who is struggling with suicidal thoughts. His ability to vocalize what many who struggle with depression is alarming as his lyrics are spot on to feelings that many of America’s youth have felt.

The guitar-driven song originally surfaced onto the internet around five months ago as a demo and has now been re-released. Stream the song below.
