YGTUT’s $ave It playlist is riddled with heat.

Chattanooga’s YGTUT is one of the shining stars of the traditional, purist rap scene that seems to be making a strong resurgence, evidenced by the impressive numbers the entire playlist has posted. The production on these two most recent tracks is phenomenal, laced with lavish samples that lend perfectly to Tut’s expressive and artistically masterful flows.

Throughout the individual installments of the playlist, Tut has hinted at his impending mixtape, that certainly sounds delightful if these offerings are any sign of what’s to come. The sounds from these two most recent tracks, “Top of the World” and “Late,” produced by Ducko McFli, are a breath of fresh air, as the rap scene has been totally supersaturated by plug beats and autotune. Personally, I’d choose a great blues sample and a more lyrically inclined verse over the alternative any day.  YGTUT is an old soul, and I can’t wait to see what else he blesses the Save It playlist with.
