Directly following the release of his new full-length album, rapper XXXTentacion has partnered with the Miami Children’s Initiative to give back to the youth in his city.

The Broward County native recently met with students at Miami Northwestern Senior High School to hear their stories and learn how he can make a positive impact on their lives.

“I understand what it feels like to struggle as a kid growing up with absolutely nothing,” he told Liberty City Online. “I hope I can share my experiences and explain that education along with pursuing your talents are the only ways out. I want the kids to know that their immediate surrounding does not dictate their future.”

X also acknowledged the controversy surrounding his name by saying, “I’ve made some mistakes but I’ve learned a lot. Now, I’m very passionate about inspiring others to stay on the right path and find their talents.”

In conjunction with the Children’s Initiative, XXXTentacion is planning college tours, leadership trips, an ice cream social, flag football games and more to benefit the Liberty City community.
