Saba recently stopped by NPR to participate in their Tiny Desk series, performing three tracks off of his acclaimed album CARE FOR ME. With him, he brought an eight-person band that included Daoud Anthony and daedaePivot, who co-produced the project with him, and vocal support from his father.
Most Tiny Desk concerts are special in nature, but it’s rare that the moment aligns as an artist is beginning to truly embrace their own creative voice. Saba may be one of the most poignant lyricists in all of music. His latest project is an unmatched body of work oozing with emotion, imagery and internal struggle. His Tiny Desk performance offers a rare glimpse into the enigmatic young artist’s mind.
The set list includes “Busy/Sirens”, “Logout”, and Heaven All Around Me/Life”. Saba’s music is transparent and honest, and this performance adds even another level of intimacy to it. Stream the video below.
