Tune in below.
It is known how dangerous we all can be to ourselves when menacing thoughts plague the ways we walk through life, but when you lay it all at the world’s feet it is a completely different battle to endure. That’s why I am pleased to announce Ed Skizm as he goes above and beyond in his new video for “Diary of a Demigod”.
The enticingly suspenseful visuals replicate the young artist being kidnapped by a masked assailant and thrown into the trunk of a car. The video captures his lack of fear for death as the chorus chants, “Welcome to the catacombs, lemme grab my bag of bones, I begin to travel on, I begin to travel home. Born alone, die alone, rap alone” accurately portraying his bravery in the face of death.
He raps as the masked man stands behind and torments him in a plastic covered room illustrating the scene of where a murder is about to take place. This video displays how someone’s worst enemy is looking back at them in their reflection. Director Shane Carmichael could not have done a more remarkable job with making this video come to life and putting his creative and artistic touch into every scene. The effects and narrative are both captivating and have you on the edge of your seat. The most shocking aspect of the video comes near the end, but I won’t spoil it for you.
The Southern California native signed to Mindset Records in 2017 after serving four-years in the United States Army. He discovered his passion for hip-hop as a child listening to Tupac and The Digital Underground. He leaves it all on the table and is a person that portrays dedication and a hard work ethic in his craft. His most recent single “Feel No More” released January 11, 2019 with some positive reception for being deeply passionate.
It is not easy to go to war against our own inner demons, but we must be able to face them before they engulf us. Surely, this is no easy feat, but if taken the proper steps, you can live to see a brighter day. Watch the new video for “Diary of a Demigod” above.
