One of the highlights of the 2019 rap climate was the emergence of the UK drill, grime, and trap scene and its explosion into the American hip-hop conscious. Mettal God recently dropped a visual to accompany his latest release “2 Phones.” The instrumental is glossy and hard and lends itself well for Mettal God’s delivery. Lyrically he blends grimy subject matter with a subtle wit and while at this point he is a bit more unknown I can’t see that remaining the case for long. Keep an eye on the UK or you’re going to miss out. Trust me.
