It’s a real thing and Troop Brand‘s new single “Knocking On Doors” is a very honest dish on that experience. The Atlanta rapper ensures that through all of the diverse production and sounds he utilizes in his music, he equally packs his tracks with a message listeners can relate to.

Originally trained as an opera singer, the thing he does with his voice on this track are unsurprising. He melodically flows along the jingle-like beat, addressing how people don’t want to give him opportunities. Even those who were on his team and at one point wanted to see him win have turned on him, but he continually finds ways to beat the odds. People might question who he is and what he can do, but he lets his music talk. If people don’t know Troop now, they will. “Google your boy now, you can web search it.”

The Fader, Pigeons & Planes and HotNewHipHop have all given Troop recognition for his new-age sound and uniqueness, specifically citing songs like “Melting” and “The Other.” With over 290k streams and listeners all over the world, it’s only a matter of time before he knocks down a few more doors and is a mainstream sensation.
