Tony Santana, out of Anaheim, California, has the voice of a bruiser. It’s deep and it borders on a slur and when there’s no autotune attached to it, there’s deadly energy to it. His latest song is “Paper Trail” that’s an ominous cut about the chase to the hundreds. With dark production and rumbling bass, Santana’s voice combines with it for a snarling cut. It’s vicious, yet tasteful. In the accompanying video, Santana flaunts his money. He throws it. But he’s continuously moving forward. All in the pursuit of the hundreds. The slow-mo shot of money being flung out of a car window is what really sells it here.
