It’s been another wild week of releases in the world of music but fear not; as we have you covered on the hottest new releases that you might’ve missed. You can find a couple of the tracks below and more on our Spotify playlist.

Roy Blair – “Dennis”

Family reunions and hometown visits are all part of the classic American summertime lifestyle, and Roy Blair paints the perfect picture to accompany these nostalgic feelings on “Dennis.” By using vivid imagery within his lyrics, Roy takes us on a journey to his childhood home and the garage rooftop on which he used to perfect his craft. Laced with a catchy guitar riff and the perfect amount of swagger, Blair’s new song “Dennis” is sure to be one the summer’s most noteworthy breakout hits.

Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar – “Wow Freestyle”

“Can we get it how we used to get it like when top had the red charger?” Jay Rock questions before Kenny launches into one of the most venomous verses we’ve heard from TDE’s golden boy in recent memory. Rock’s “Redemption” album is a testament to his evolution as an artist. His profound storytelling is highlighted throughout and the album is an impressive cohesive collection, but “Wow Freestyle” will have you smashing the repeat button until your neighbors know the words. Press play below and get familiar.

Goldlink ft. Miguel – “Got Friends”

The waviest song to release this weekend came courtesy of the DMV’s latest emerging star Goldlink, who recruits fellow R&B sensation Miguel for a track about their girls’ girls.  Because the more, the merrier. Miguel supplies the silky chorus with Goldlink interjecting his signature flow packed with punchlines over the track. Neither artist is a stranger to the charts thankfully, because this song is a hit that I expect to be heard on radio stations around the country real soon. In the meantime, you can catch it atop our weekly Elevator spotify playlist here.

Astral OG – “Slow Down”

Astral OG’s latest release comes as a smooth Reckless & Threee-produced cut that shows us Astral’s true musical roots. Over a smooth guitar riff, the singer paints a melodic picture of his laid back lifestyle. Following up from his previous psychedelic Nesslyassisted trap banger with another record, “Slow Down” is a concrete example that the bubbling Portland artist can do it all. This song is the perfect soundtrack for cruising along the coast this summer.

Adrian Stresow – “Bags”

Adrian has been a buzzing name throughout Texas in recent months. The self-taught producer has been building an extremely loyal fan-base in his hometown of Dallas, Texas and looks to continue to his state-wide takeover with “Lie To Me” and his most recent release, “Bags” from his forthcoming album “It Could Be Worse.” With the ability to sell out shows in his home state and a growing fan base, Adrain’s future looks incredibly bright.
