And here we go again. Today, Taylor Bennett, younger brother of Chance The Rapper, was featured in the Chicago Tribune’s teen section “The Smash”. Gracing the cover, Bennett was subject to a Q+A that dealt with the 18-year-old Urban Prep senior juggling duties as a rapper and student, what it’s like having a famous sibling and what’s next for him. In just over two months, the younger Bennett has sold out two headlining shows at Reggie’s Rock House, dropped his “Heartbreaker” video on IllRoots and his latest single “Ballin” on Hypetrak. Currently working on Mainstream Music, the follow up to last year’s The Taylor Bennett Show, Taylor plans to carry his current momentum into a fruitful debut at SXSW in Austin, Tx. We watched Chancelor Bennett take over the music world in just over a year’s time, with a unique style and rhyme scheme that is wholly his own, Taylor very well may be next in line to blow from Chicago. Check out the interview here or in the video below.
