Atlanta’s Talib Matin has something to say. After being quiet following the release of his debut project Warm Nights, he is back with 2 new songs “Still Here” and “Ex’s”.
“Still Here” finds Talib Matin delivering a stream-of-consciousness verse that rap fans will love. The vocals are enunciated well over the driving, rolling production.
“Ex’s” is more of a song, complete with a catchy chorus and a heavier emphasis on singing and melody. The vocals shift up and down in pitch and it works surprisingly well.
It seems as if Talib Matin is a natural despite not being in the game for long.
