I have to admit my younger brother put me on to Wayne Chapo’s music a couple years back. His “Hella Bandz” joint was one of my favorite singles when it first dropped. I’m very surprised not as many people as I would think are acquainted with his name. This being his first time on Elevator, however, I think will help change that.
Detroit, Michigan’s own “Wayne Chapo” is an emerging Emcee, singer, songwriter, & producer. He’s a determined artist that’s been evolving since 2009, the year he finally decided to get his feet wet in the music industry. His style is heavily influenced by his father “Insane Wayne”, who passed in 2011 when he was 16.
It’s not hard to notice Wayne Chapo’s true value and hear the distinctive wavy sounds he creates. After six months of laying low, Wayne felt it was only right to drop a new song for his birthday titled “Japan”.
It’s the perfect single for a first-time listener to familiarize themselves with Chapo’s style. He doesn’t use the same flows but he definitely has a unique noticeable touch to his deliveries.
