Bars are back with the Bronx native lyricist, SPRTYK, who hits a heist in her video for “Helly Hansen.” With all the vibes of the golden era of 90’s hip hop, SPRTYK spits heavy story-telling bars over a classically jazz-sampled beat, all while draped in vintage gear by none other than Helly Hansen.
SPRTYK and her crew hold up a cornerstore and hit the town with the dirty money. The Loui Nova-directed video feels like a classic hip hop music video with tinges of current-day visuals, which is a great way to describe the style and feel of the female MC. SPRTYK herself has a very old school feel but at the same time doesn’t fall into a trap of sounding outdated. SPRTYK definitely sticks to her New York roots with the raw aesthetics music video.
Check out the video below and keep it locked to SPRTYK who’s definitely putting on for the Bronx with “Helly Hansen.”
