Smrtdeath is a very interesting artist from our neighbor to the north, and today he hits our pages to premiere a new visual, titled “she kill me softly laughing when i hit the blunt & i be coughing.” The sharpness of Smrtdeath’s voice gives him so much character, and his creative rhyme schemes set him a part from many other artists of this generation.

Smrtdeath hails from Winnipeg, a mid-sized city in Manitoba, Canada. Since their hip-hop scene is nearly nonexistent, Smrtdeath embraces his own style of music, and it’s all pure gold in my eyes. The director, Patrick Bateman, did an amazing job molding this visual to Smrtdeath’s aesthetic, as it all comes together for a cohesive song and video.

Check out his new visuals below and enjoy!
