While this is the first time Q has adrresed the situation publicly, TDE’s Punch took to twitter earlier this week to assure fans that Q was holding up. While he did maintain his composure while speaking to the crowd, it was clear the LA emcee had not fully come to terms with the finality of Miller untimely death. Q’s rule of dropping an album every two years has been well documented, but the rapper noted that he has in fact stacked four albums that have yet to be released.

Following this, however, he states that “With my nigga gone right now it just don’t feel right putting out an album.”. He continues to elaborate saying that “As ya’ll can tell I’m not my real self right now. I shouldn’t even be here right now. But like I said, my nigga Mac would not want me to be in the house sad. He would clown me for some weird shit. I’m here today ’cause it’s no way in he would allow me to sit in the house and be a little bitch.”

Q often referred to Miller as a “brother” and the two have a history of collaborations. While we all mourn Mac’s tragic passing, let’s make sure we also allow those artists that knew him personally their respective privacy and space.
