We’re back! Today we drop off a new set of records for our songs of the week series.
It’s centered around celebrating records that we think are going to be huge, as well as new music discovery—all while also saluting some of our favorite artists that we’ve been supporting for awhile. Some songs are a little older, some just debuted this week, but they’re all A1 records that we’ve been spinnin’ heavy recently.
This week we got Nessly, Reese LaFlare, 24hrs and hella other dope records from dope artists—enjoy.
Nessly // Catch A Vibe
ELEVATOR favorite Nessly is back with some new sounds in the form of “Catch a Vibe.” It’s a sleek banger from the Atlanta native, who’s been having one helluva year. His progression from even earlier this year to now is wild, and it’s easy to see why he has bounds of buzz.
Yung Pinch // When I Was Yung
Yung Pinch is one of my favorites coming up right now, and his hella smooth style is well on display with his knockout track “When I Was Yung.” It’s hella catchy, and features some slick rhymes and lines from the Huntington Beach native. His beachboy sound is starting to make some notable waves, and we very much look forward to what he’s got on the way.
DRTYLAUNDRY // Drunk Driving
DRTYLAUNDRY is probably the most lowkey name on this list, but he’s also one of the most promising. He has a unique-sounding voice that he uses masterfully to deliver auto-tuned bangers and uptempo ballads. Look out for much more from him soon, as his impending project So Far This Sucks is due to drop soon.
Kodie Shane // Hold Up (Dough Up) ft. Lil Yachty & Lil Uzi Vert
Kodie Shane came in like a hurricane with her infectious slapper “Drip On My Walk,” and has only been getting better since. The Sailing Team member just dropped off a tremendous new record entitled “Hold Up (Dough Up)” featuring XXL Freshmen Lil Yachty and Lil Uzi Vert. She not only raps well, but also has a dope singing voice and knack for songwriting that unifies with Yachty and Uzi mad nicely on this joint.
24hrs // Count Me Out ft. Ty Dolla $ign & Yo Gotti
Atlanta’s 24hrs returns to our always-elevated pages with his most star-studded record yet in the form of “Count Me Out.” It featured Ty Dolla $ign and Yo Gotti, whose contrasting styles mesh well with 24’s pitched up voice, all piecing together for a knockout record overall.
Reese LaFlare // Glitter Glove
GLITTA GLOVE, WHEN I ZOOM PAST YOU! “Glitter Glove” by Atlanta’s Reese LaFlare is without a doubt the most played song on my daily playlist, and it’s his bursting personality and catchy lyrics that really make this track what it is. He’s able to switch between more lyrical records to fun, enjoyable bangers like this joint, and I’m sure I’ll be spinnin’ this joint for a long time.
