News reports coming out of Georgia today say that rapper Quando Rondo and his crew were allegedly the targets in a shooting early Monday. The story is still coming together, but it seems that Rondo and his team were at a convenience store around 3 AM when the shooting took place. A man with Rondo was hit in the hand and taken to the hospital and it seems like there were no other victims.
The Savannah, GA native has been in the crosshairs so to say since the killing of Chicago's King Von in November 2020. Von was shot by Rondo associate, Timothy Leeks after a figh t broke out near a hookah bar in Atlanta before later dying. Since the shooting Rondo has faced threats that have affected his pockets. Recent videos from a show he did just this weekend showed less than 60 people in attendance, apparently others have been scared away by the threat of violence popping off at his shows. Today's news seems to underline that point.
We'll update this story as more info comes available.
