New Orleans has long had the reputation of breeding musical savants & movements. Whether you examine the long line of big band artists to hail from the area or the more contemporary efforts of collectives like Cash Money, it’s apparent that New Orleans is a staple in music. Looking to become the next legendary export, native Lucky Daye checks in with his beautiful new single, “Roll Some Mo.”

Produced by D’Mile — who’s also executive producing his debut album — “Roll Some Mo” is a sultry, mid-tempo gem that is perfect for a foggy night if you know what I mean. With a strong voice to accompany a distinctly unique pen, just listen to the cadence structures, Daye absolutely floats over the heavenly divine production, which peaks with an incredibly appealing bridge where a string sample makes you feel as if you’re watching the climax of an orchestra performance.

In all, “Roll Some Mo” is one of the best R&B singles out right now. With his major label debut, Painted coming by way of RCA & Keep Cool Records, the bandwagon is filling up. Check out the track below and hop on before it’s too late.
