YNW Melly has released his 4th studio album "Just a Matter of Slime" recently, his 2nd since being locked up for a double murder in his native Florida. The lead single "Mind of Melvin" is a reminder that Melly is still one of the best melodic rappers in the game as of now. The song's catchy flow and dark sometimes downright evil lyrics accompanied by the horror movie-esque instrumental produced by Mega Beats help paint a picture of "Melvin" YNW Melly's evil alter-ego who wants to take control and kill those who oppose him. Lil Uzi Vert's guest verse is what you would normally expect, fire bars that compliment either Melly or Melvin who ever is on the track with him at the time. The visuals are creepy and uncomfortable to watch at times with imagery like mutilated doll heads, pentagrams, and implied blood everywhere which makes it even more interesting. Melly doesnt make a physical apperance due to his current legal circumstances but is instead portrayed by a man being locked up in the video with Uzi appering from time to time. The snakes remind me of Orchimaru from Naruto with the slimy and uneasy vibes they were giving off, and I honestly wouldn't be suprised if that was what they were going for.
