Kiera Please releases her first song and video as a artist titled “BLOOM”
She’s been featured on Hypebae for her unique style, Huffpo for her spot on cosplay outfits, and now she’s landed right here on ELEVATOR with her first single and music video “BLOOM”. Kiera Please is a versatile talent, has a keen sense of professionalism and in my brief chat with her over the phone, I have to say she’s probably one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
“I think just being myself and sharing that with the world. I understand I’m not perfect and I’m ok with that. I’m okay with people seeing those imperfections and random interests and thoughts. I just kind of impulsively be myself tbh.” Kiera messaged me. “As far as music. I’ve had a semi musical background. Not with singing. But I played piano for years, dabbled in making beats and singing was something I liked to do but never thought I could for some reason. My friend Tofu Jack, who’s a producer, heard me sing one day and just asked me to sing over a beat and I kinda discovered how much I loved the process and act of it. And here we are lol. Still finding new things about myself.”
“BLOOM” is an appropriate title for her first forae into music, playful melodies, rough around the edges, but plenty of creativity to refine and grow. She reminds me of early SZA.
“Even though everything isn’t perfect, I think this song personifies that it takes time and patience to bloom and see the potential in yourself. And hopefully people can hear and see that as the song goes on.”
