Brooklyn’s Medhane recently recruited surging North Carolina artist Mavi for a new collaborative single titled “facta.” Medhane opens the track with a verse that he attacks with his calm disposition combined with his natural lyrical fortitude and sets up perfectly for Mavi to pick up right where he leaves off. Mavi comes on the track like a bat-out-of-hell, rapping his ass off from the moment his voice presents itself on the recording. The complicated rhyme-schemes and wordplay that Mavi brings to every track is jaw-dropping and is exactly why he is attracting so much attention in the underground. While both of these MCs gave awesome performances, Juu also supplied the uplifting production, featuring subdued drum patterns and a quickly looped soul sample that added a nice flair and extra layer of texture to the instrumental.
