Jelani Kwesi has long been putting out impressive tunes, and is back today to share a new video for one of his best tracks yet. He steps out of the sonic boundaries molded by hip-hop and blasts back to a whole other era and genre altogether, including elements of pop and rock to craft an uptempo ballad that has a perfectly creative and lo-fi video to match the song’s throwback vibe and feel. It all adds up for a memorable record and video, and leaves us anxiously awaiting more from him soon.
