Following the successful rollout of his previous single “Novacane,” Lerado Khalil has dropped another for us to enjoy entitled “New Day.” Produced by fellow St. Paul native Gunlock, the track proves that the young Minnesota creatives are looking to make music unlike anything else out right now.

The beat itself is unique in that it doesn’t have a true melody. Its “melody” consists of sporadic bass noises, making for extremely minimal, yet one-of-a-kind production. Speaking on the notorious rapper’s contributions to the track, Lerado spazzes with cynical bars that show the uglier side of life as a booming teenage creative. “I don’t want friends they all fake, holding my tongue and my rage, just the same problems new day” he spits on the hook.

Although there are demons trying to steer him off path, the self-proclaimed 78 Soulja has been consistently impressing, and “New Day” is no different. Listen to the track on SoundCloud by pressing play below.
