Landon Sears’ latest track “Oxygen” has quite a bit of soul packed into four minutes. Hailing from Nashville, Sears has been carving out quite an interesting sound niche, landing somewhere in-between r&b, pop, rap, and elements of gospel in his choruses. On “Oxygen” these elements meshed perfectly, delivering a big hook with great range in his voice and a layer of ad-libs and background vocals brought the atmosphere to new heights.
His rap verses are delivered well with a great deal of melody in his voice, but it is clear that Landon Sears can spit amidst the singing. I really enjoyed this track and there is little better in Nashville than a perfectly executed track from Landon Sears. He is definitely an artist to keep your eye on as he continues to develop and mature his already unique sound.
