It’s not often that musicians are able to christen tracks with monikers that fit the song down to a tee. Draydon, a New York rapper with a sound that’s not immediately associated with his surroundings, manages to do that with “Gem.” The song’s icy production and strange melodies creates an atmosphere of cool, river-flowing like zen. It’s, for lack of better terminology, a “gem.” He gave the song that name because he knew the quality that was put into it. That’s some inception-level stuff right there.
