“Angelina” is easily one of my favorite tracks from British born Ghanian producer & DJ, Juls, Colour album. Releasing toward the end of July, it was only right that the album received coverage, that of which you can read about here. The 10-track project immediately caught my attention the day that it released, his clean production & originality speaking volumes within each song. Known for his authentic approach, Juls has always been known as one of those individuals who pour 110% of their being into their craft, using all of his multifaceted creative elements as a means to transforming the sound of Afrobeats as a whole.

Just yesterday, Juls released the official music video for “Angelina” featuring Nigerian rapper & songwriter, Falz & buzzing singer, Oxlade. From the start of the video, the reminiscent summer vibes as we lead into the winter months are warm & present–the beach setting being more than fitting for the anatomy of the song. From the kids playing in the ocean, to the beautiful, inviting smiles on everyone’s faces as they barbecue and enjoy each other’s company reminds me of how it felt to be at the release party of Juls’ Colour tape back in New York just a couple months ago. The energy is always so welcoming, pleasant & mellow, as you can see & feel in the video as well. The raw beauty of each person & element of the video is captured with this essence of complete enchantment, which I feel is going to push this record even further, globally. In my opinion, this is more than a job well done.
