Jean Dawson has just dropped one of the best music videos I have personally seen in months, it’s titled, “90’s Green Screen”. The track itself is nothing short of revitalizing as it bends genres for such a smooth cadence. Jean takes the listener on a ride with his vocals as he has a muffled yet velvety delivery and then is able to turn it up a notch as he lays passionately intense lines at various parts of the track. The riveting instrumental is masterfully provided by Lecx Stacy as he showcases gripping guitar melodies along with other soothing rock undertones for a perfectly fused instrumental for Jean to elevate his harmonies.
This music video by Julian Klincewicz is just so damn genius and has me absolutely enticed as I have never seen anything like it. The visual kicks off with Jean wearing an absolutely ostentatious mask covered in diamonds, on a beach at nighttime, being illuminated with lights of various colors. Jean is then shown merging into an all-black setting with strobe lights dancing all over him as the transitions between shots are just so fluid and crisp. Overall the mesmerizing visuals just transcended the whole track as it is simply unworldly and I cannot stress the fact that you should watch this video and Jean’s ascension enough.
