J Cole recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of signing his deal with Jay Z, and while there’s frankly nobody that can compare to Hov’s legacy, J Cole seems to be on a trajectory to rival the Tidal titan. Cole’s latest anthem, “Middle Child”, is a testament to his ability to exist between seemingly opposed generations of hip hop heads. Cole, rather than furthering the divide is attempting to foster collaboration and mentorship between the two. As he states in the track “I’m lil bro and big bro all at once”. The latest encapsulating visual is an extension of Cole’s continued artistry.
