San Antonio’s InrG borrows Rylo Rodriguez’s ‘No Apologies’ instrumental accompanied by Billy Eilish vocals to produce the ‘Paper Chase’ masterpiece.
At 24 years old, the upcoming artist has been holding his own on the local music scene, but is looking to make major moves in the months to come.
The ‘Paper Chase’ freestyle is InrG’s very first offering of 2021, minus a few unreleased guest features. It is a subtle showcase of the raw talent he posseses.
InrG (who’s real name is Gary Walls Jr) is not only an artist in his own right, but he’s also a former writer for the HipHopApproved Magazine and writes - or has written for - other artists in the industry.
He got his name with the help of some associates during a rough period in his life, in which he found himself bouncing around friends couches and jobless. The letters ‘I-N-R-G’ were his very first tattoo; there is no specific meaning to the letters but he has been known to cite ‘innovative n**** with a real grind’ as the vision.
As time unfolds, it’s fair to say InrG will be one of the next artists to blow out of Texas.
