Bristol band Idles is back with new material, animating their hilariously ironic track “Never Fight A Man With A Perm” which was one of the more beloved cuts from their 2018 LP Joy As an Act of Resistance. In this visual we see their front man Joe Talbot pitted against meathead caricatures of manhood, as the fight against toxic masculinity was one of the foremost themes of this record. Talbot comments on these matters with a scathingly ironic depiction of these lunkheads while he fights to prove that manhood is much more than how much weight you can lift. This video is hilarious and their album was one of my favorites of last year, and I would highly recommend both that record and Idles as a whole to any fan of punk rock, especially in the more political vein.
