I have seen HOOK’s name all over twitter over the past few weeks and although she is still very early in her career I already regret not fucking with her earlier. “STAND IT” is her latest release and before we even get into the music the direction and editing from Hassan is mesmerizing yet decidedly lo-fi. HOOK has an incredible amount of charisma on this song and delivers her verses powerfully. This confidence is infectious and is sure to endear her to larger audiences as soon as she is presented to them. The instrumental is melodic and thumping and created the ideal atmosphere for HOOK to shine. Keep an eye on HOOK, she has a very bright future ahead.
