Honcho Da Savage has risen from the trenches to unleash his debut mixtape “Parallel Universe” via Victor Victor Worldwide/Republic Records.
Growing up in South Florida as one of 12 children in a blended family, Honcho became obsessed with hip-hop at a young age by logging countless hours in a local traphouse. Avoiding trouble at every cost, the rapper suffered a punctured throat at the age of 19 as he climbed a fence to avoid an attempted murder charge.
Honcho gained his voice back by watching YouTube tutorials and singing along to songs from bands like Nickelback and Lifehouse, and has been on a lengthy winning streak ever since.
“Parallel Universe” features seven tracks total, including three previously released singles with “Check,” “BlockBusta” and “Na Na Na.” The South Florida rapper is also joined by Tracy and Yung Bans on “Peaceful World,” which closes out the tape.
