“Faking doesn’t make you real” is the lesson that Havelock wants you to leave their new visual with, and there are many more quips about individuality and genuineness throughout the song, and he masterfully blends these critiques into unforced writing. “Real” is a wonderful video from an aesthetic standpoint that was edited and shot fantastically, offering an up-close look at Havelock. Sonically, this track is driven by a standard blend of acoustic guitar playing and percussion, with a helping of synths blasted in from time to time. Havelock is a tremendous artist and one that you should be watching if you aren’t already familiar.
