It’s no question that San Diego’s hip-hop scene is on the rise, but few may realize how much its underground is about to change rap completely. Hardini confirms one thing on his latest mixtape: he’s gunning for that top spot.

“O.T.” (Over Time)” is the latest offering from the energetic artist as he enlists features from Poodeezy, TC DOE, DBar, and more who all contribute some of their best work yet. While his work most closely resembles current trap styles, Hardini never fails to add his own experimental flair to everything he touches while still crafting records that bang and stick in a listener’s head long after they’re done playing.

His intriguing type of lyricism resonates especially on standout tracks like “Backwards” where Hardini’s lyrical and melodic simplicity make for a ridiculously catchy banger. He delivers another highlight on “Playstation” which features Dbar and it’s one of my favorite tracks off the project.
