Atlanta artist Grandma has seemingly unlimited potential.
Recently, Atlanta artist Grandma released his debut track “Shallow Water” and almost immediately it was met with tremendous praise and support, as he showed that he is more than capable of making some very high quality synth pop. “Elastic” is Grandma’s latest effort and it is a bit of a gear change in comparison to the former single that was a great deal more sanguine.
Fellow Atlantan Hanzo assists with a rap verse which adds some nice sonic diversity to the record. The hook on “Elastic” is much more melancholic in comparison to the aforementioned single, but this chorus is much more emotion packed. I truly cannot wait for more from Grandma and after two tracks he is easily one of my favorite emerging talents from the new, more alternative Atlanta underground.
