Fyre Festival head honcho Billy MacFarland has been arrested on one count of wire fraud and is facing up to 20 years in prison. After promising a “life changing music festival,” the 26 year-old entrepreneur delivered nothing short of a “disaster” according to U.S. Attorney Joon Kim.
Kim added that “McFarland allegedly presented fake documents to induce investors to put over a million dollars into his company and the fiasco called the Fyre Festival.”
MacFarland faces up to 20 year in prison if convicted of the charge.
