Every week, artists throughout the music industry compete to outdo each other by any means necessary. Only a handful are successful, and even fewer break through to the next level of releasing timeless material. However, there are indeed always select pieces of content that stand out amongst the rest.

In an effort to showcase these aforementioned exceptional pieces of art, we’ve decided to recap some of the most prolific offerings of the previous week in a new feature. In this installment, I felt it was necessary to take a second look at four stellar music videos that have blessed us in the recent past.

Keep reading below to watch and learn more about four new visuals from the likes of BROCKHAMPTON, Nessly, 21 Savage & RAMIREZ.

BROCKHAMPTON – “Star”

Directed by Kevin Abstract

Released: May 30th, 2017

This is a no-brainer. BROCKHAMPTON is one of the most exciting collectives in hip-hop and their impeccable new video shows why. Kevin Abstract continues to kill the creative direction on these visuals and I can’t wait to see where they take the next one. The “Star” video features members in blue skin and will undoubtedly hold your attention throughout the four-minute duration.

Nessly – “LSDSKITRIP”

Directed by Ben Searles

Released: May 30th, 2017

My jaw dropped when I watched this video for the first time. Atlanta-bred rapper Nessly teams up with Bean Searles to recreate iconic stills of Space Odyssey for this exotic, gold-filled visual. The red-haired crooner embarks on a journey to foreign land and eventually comes across his goddess, whom you may recognize as EBHONI. Between the flawless special effects and immaculate color correction, this music video is a goddamn gem.

21 Savage – “All The Smoke”

Directed by Matthew Swinsky

Released: June 2nd, 2017

Everybody’s favorite trapper 21 Savage made his long awaited return with a new song and accompanying visual for “All The Smoke.” The bass-heavy banger is set to be featured on his forthcoming full-length “Issa Album” and proves to be equally brutal as his previous releases. Savage depicts a terrifying scene the gory music video, as a group of campers are murdered by an assumed serial killer. This song and video combination is legendary, and all I’m waiting on at this point is a full horror movie starring 21 Savage.

RAMIREZ – “The Mystical Warlock”

Directed by Calikeo

Released: May 30th, 2017

G59 affiliate RAMIREZ is set to drop his new album “The Grey Gorilla” on June 10th and heightened the anticipation with a new video for his Mikey The Magician-produced single “The Mystical Warlock.” The Calikeo-directed visual features the San Francisco-based rapper taking the audience through a day-in-the-life, wrapping up the visual with a spectacular shot of the emcee spewing lyrics aside an upside down cross engulfed in flames. Crisp shots and a clever storyline lead the way on this fantastic music video.
