Following the buzzing release of his single, “Japan,” Chicago based rapper Famous Dex has returned with a shocking new single. With ‘Pick it Up’ ft. ASAP Rocky being certified gold, and his last single having been streamed 12 million times since it’s recent release – Dex has decided to show the world another side to his upcoming album.

Unlike the previous two releases, “Light” nabs elements of pop and R&B that differ from Dex’s previous high energy records. While an unexpected collaboration from the vibrant trap rapper, the promising pop band Drax Project is currently on tour with Ed Sheeran shortly after wrapping another tour with Lorde, and is an exciting surprise from what many would expect from Famous Dex.

Fans will be happy to hear that Dex is experimenting with his sound and challenging himself as an artist project. His highly anticipated debut album “Dex Meets Dexter” is available for pre-order here.
